QUESTION
Contract documents call for tankless water heaters in the unit closets (Spec 22 33 00). Contractor requests confirmation that tank-type water heaters may be substituted in these locations. Closet dimensions appear adequate for 40 gal tank units; venting and clearances to be confirmed. Please advise whether the substitution is acceptable and note any impact to cost or schedule.
